How to Get There
Nearest Airport
Dublin
The Church
The ceremony takes place at the Church of the Nativity of Our Lady, Fieldstown http://www.armagharchdiocese.org/html/Parish_Directory49.htm
The Reception Venue
The reception takes place at Darver Castle, Readypenny, Dundalk, Co. Louth, Ireland
http://www.darvercastle.com/
http://www.darvercastle.ie
Darver Castle is a 30 minute drive from the church. There is ample parking for your cars. We will also be organising a bus to take guests who aren't travelling by car from the church to the castle.
After the reception is over we will organise transport to get everbody back to their hotel / B&B.
Car
You can rent a car from Dublin airport and drive to Drogheda. Drogheda is 25 miles North of Dublin, about a 45 min drive, mostly on the motorway. The AA has a route planner for Ireland that can help you with driving directions: http://www.theaa.com/travelwatch/planner_main.jsp?database=I
Train
If you don't want to rent a car you can also get to Drogheda by train. You would need to take a bus or taxi from the airport to Connolly train station (central Dublin) and from there take an Enterprise Express train to Drogheda (about 30 mins). From Drogheda train station it would be a short cab ride to the hotel. You are probably talking about 1hr 45 mins for the total journey.
The Irish rail website has timetable and fare information:
http://www.irishrail.ie/home/
Bus
You can get a bus directly from outside the arrivals area in Dublin Airport to Drogheda Bus Station. The station is less than a 10 minute walk to the d hotel, and not far from Scholars (it's probably easiest to get a cab for the short journey).
There is a bus every hour (at 5 to the hour), and at peak times there is a bus every half hour (5 to the hour and 25 past the hour).
It is a 50 minute journey and costs 5 Euro. A full timetable as well as tickets are available online. http://www.buseireann.ie/site/home/
Maps
For a good interactive map of the area try MapQuest:
